It was a gloriously sunny day on Saturday and the gardening team picked 25 kg of marrows and courgettes. We had so many that we gave one to the chickens who were very happy to have it. We scraped the duckweed off the rain water and gave that to the chickens too and we made pea soup which looked just like the duckweed. We are surrounded by insects in the Walled Garden and this week we have had Red Admirals and Common hawker dragonflies flying around us as we work. It’s a special place to be in and thank you to all the workers. Our next session is on Sunday 29th September.
