Insects in the garden

The insects are busy in the walled garden at the moment. The ladybirds are busy eating the blackfly on our broad beans and the cinnabar moths with their bright magenta coloured wings are flitting about. The bees are busy in the aquilegia flowers which are like purple bonnets and the pears are starting to grow. With the birds singing all around

The walled garden is a tranquil place to be in the sun and the rain.

Our next workshop is on Tuesday 28 May .

In September 2025 we hosted our third Harvest lunch in the Haybarn. We had a wonderful service in St James Church, where a lot of locals decorated the church in a Harvest theme.
