Sunday’s jobs were cutting down the fruited summer raspberry canes and the boys were very keen to dig more potatoes, so another 24.4 kilos were dug helped by the girls.
Even as a mature adult I never tire of finding them under the soil, like finding treasure and we certainly now have enough to supply the whole village with potatoes for months. So if we have another lockdown you know where to come for potatoes and lots of other veg.
The boys were particularly excited to find an enormously long cucumber which weighed nearly a kilo and Ellis loved finding the enormous runner beans.
Thank you to all for a really fun sunny afternoon.
Our next sessions will be Saturday 17 October 10-12 and Tuesday 27 October 10-12. Numbers are limited due to Covid-19 and we will be keeping our distance from one another.
